Welcome to San Diego County’s Work Based Learning ePortal, a FREE resource for employers to get involved in the education system and for educators to connect their students to work based learning opportunities.

By exposing students to the wide array of occupations, employers, and work environments that compose our regional labor market, our goal is to help young people envision their future careers while still in school, and then equip them with the skills necessary to succeed in those careers.

The ePortal and SDCOE’s Work Based Learning initiative were implemented to realize the first goal of San Diego County’s Board of Education – to connect educational experience to the world of work, guaranteeing that all students graduate prepared for college, career, and beyond.

  • Today’s students are tomorrow’s workforce. Develop talent to fill your future entry and middle level positions.
  • Communicate your hiring needs to the education and workforce development systems, so that they can better prepare students to meet your most in-demand skills.
  • Inspire students to pursue a career in your field and company.
  • Increase brand and company recognition.
