This activity will support students in identifying their skills and how they apply to job readiness.
Part 1: Make a List
- What are some of the skills you will need to get your dream job?
- What are some of the skills you will need to keep your jobs, and earn promotions and pay raises?
Part 2: Reflect
In this activity, you will reflect on what you are good at and what skills you may need to develop.
Using the Skills for Success cards, make 3 piles with the cards: What I do well, What I need to develop, What I haven’t learned to do yet.
After you are finished creating your piles, partner up and share your lists.
Using your "What I need to develop" pile, you will create plans for how they can develop the skills that they need to get a job and keep a job by filling out the Development Plan worksheet.
